Hole 1

White Yellow Red
Length 399 377 318
Par 4 4 4
Stroke Index 11 11 9

Most would think that at 399 yards, this would be a tough opening hole! You will see, however, when reaching your tee-shot, that the fairway falls away down to the green - this shortens the hole somewhat.

Although the green slopes from back to front it is a difficult green to hold. The advice would be to take a club less as most balls that land 20 yards short manage to reach the putting surface.

The Manor is an excellent course. Well varied fairways and bunker obstacles. Good variety with water features as well. Greens are now coming on well. The green keeper's are always doing a fine job keeping the course in great condition. The pro shop are always welcoming and accommodating to enquires. The tee areas are well marked and have map boards. The back 4 holes are a tester with a great 18th hole with 8 bunkers. This is overlooked by the 19th clubhouse which is very good and serves great food.

The club has its own driving range and a great 6 hole par 3 tester, great idea especially for families. Richard the pro is always on hand and has a good professional approach and his staff always friendly. Most of my friends like the course and club and say it's not the easiest but a great challenge. I would highly recommend The Manor golf course. They have a great membership deal on at the moment check it out.
